Can Access Fobs cut and programme a new car key remote for my Audi?

At Access Fobs we offer key programming services, however we are not mobile and you would need to bring the car to us in Wakefield. If you are local to Wakefield please contact us for a quote on 01924 654144

Are your Audi car key remotes pre-cut and ready to use?

No - all our remote keys are supplied brand new, uncut, and unprogrammed. To use the key with your vehicle, you'll need to have it cut and programmed by a professional automotive locksmith using specialist key programming software.

I’ve lost my Audi car key and need a spare key– can I buy a replacement remote from you?

Yes - we offer high-quality replacement OEM and aftermarket remote keys which are compatible with A vehicles. You'll need a professional auto locksmith to program the new remote to your vehicle.

If my Audi Car Key Fob stops working, what should I do?

We would advise that you change the battery in the first instance.

I changed the battery in my car key and now it’s stopped working – what should I do?

Some keys require re-synchronisation after a battery change. This often involves turning the ignition on/off or pressing buttons in a sequence. Refer to your car manual or ask your locksmith—we’re happy to help with advice based on your vehicle
model.

Can I program the car key myself?

Some older vehicles allow basic remote programming, but the majority of car key remotes require professional key programming tools. We always recommend using a trained auto locksmith for accurate key programming.

How do I know if I need a remote key or a smart key?

A remote key has physical buttons and a flip or fixed blade.  A smart key allows keyless entry and push-button start.  If you're unsure, message us with your car model and year.

What if my new remote doesn't work after car key programming?

Double-check that the car key is compatible, the transponder chip has been correctly coded, and the battery is fitted properly.  If you're still having issues, your locksmith may need to reattempt the programming process.
