Special Function for New RFA Programming with Locked BCM Support
The SW28 software module is a specialist upgrade for the Lock50 HW04-C OBD Tool, enabling seamless key programming on JLR vehicles from 2017 to 2024+ — even when the BCM is locked. It eliminates the need to replace the BCM during new RFA installation, making the process faster, safer, and more cost-effective.
Ideal for advanced key programming scenarios where the vehicle has received BCM mitigation updates, this module allows adaptation of new RFAs while securely erasing old keys in the locked BCM. The procedure is fully OBD-based with no BCM removal or soldering required — a 15-minute job on most vehicles.

Key Differences (HW04-B vs HW04-C with SW28)
- Functionality is the same post-upgrade, but HW04-C supports additional locked module functions (e.g., SW36) that HW04-B users would need to purchase separately.
- HW04-C may benefit from faster processing and broader compatibility when working with more complex UWB/PEPS systems beyond the SW28 scope.
