What This Part Does
The steering transceiver coil reads the transponder chip inside the vehicle key when it is inserted into the ignition. It then sends this information to the immobiliser control unit.
If the correct signal is received, the immobiliser is disengaged and the engine is allowed to start. A faulty transceiver coil can cause non-start issues, immobiliser warning lights, or keys not being recognised.
