NOTE: On some MG models, the proximity (keyless) function may require relearning 2–3 times before operating correctly. This is a known vehicle side behaviour and not a fault with the key. Remote locking may program successfully before proximity functions are fully learned.
On some vehicles, it may be necessary to remove the circuit board from the remote and disconnect the battery during programming. If the remote is not detected, programming the circuit board without the battery installed may allow successful recognition.
This can apply to both OEM and aftermarket remotes.
